he is misbehaving and taking undue advantage. you also have equal rights and perform duties in a family. using shoes for beating shows disrespect and inhuman behavior. This should not be tolerated, you need to talk to find back the lost pride. you are his life partner and he shouldn't do anything what he doesn't like you to do. If you are working that's an additional advantage , you need to fight for rights....
