How can I tell if my dog is going blind?

I know that blindness is usually marked by a cloudy eye, but I have a 7 month old Australian Shephard/Blue Heeler mix (her name's Penny). I adpoted her and at the agency they told me that her eyes would change from blue to brown. They weren't completely blue. Two months later, her right eye turned completely brown, and her left eye stayed half/half. Is this just a defect, or is she going blind? We're taking her to the vet anyway, but they're closed for the weekend and I'm worried. There's no cloudiness, just blue. Nothing's wrong with her pupils, either, it's all around her iris.

What should i do, im so damn confused?

I have known this guy for 16 years been bestfriends with him for a while now,. Studying for my zoology and wondering how important the actual degree is compared to experience?

In my first year at uni hopefully going on to my zoology degree, but i'm quite worried that i'll spend years studying and find I can't get a job since I have no experience. Help for chronic sinusitis?

My problems began while living in a house that had problems with mold (some of it blac mold). We have since moved leaving most of our personal belongs in the trash. I can't get air in through my nose (but it is not blocked with mucous). Sometimes one side will open up. When this happens the blocked side will be hot and flushed. My sinuses are so dry, I can't drink enough to get things moving. The problem feels like it is in the nasopharyngeal area (in the part of the throat between the throat and nose. My CAT scans were clear. Endoscopy showed that I have a deviated septum. My tonsils and adenoids checked out fine. I am miserable. I can't sleep because I can't breathe through my nostrils and I have a post nasal drip (thick and yellow when I can cough it up). Sterroids help for about one week. Allergy medicine just drys me up and makes me feel worse. Two things have helped briefly: acupuncture and Sinusalia. The neti pot made me worse (let to pain, and further inability to move air). The nasal lubricants caused severe pain. Any ideas?

I am a 24 y/o healthy female. I have tried the patch and ortho tri lo, both make me nauseated and vomit contantly due to the amount of hormones in them. I am currently on lo/ovral which stopped the nausea and breakthrough bleeding I got with the other ones but I see darkening of skin on my face, decreased libido to practically nothing and severe depression. I read the answers of all the others that responded, and while I agree that all war in mans history has not been tied to oil I will say that since WWI oil has been the deciding factor. Not only that but I would state that if things continue at current rates, oil will be the new reason for wars, instead to being merely the factor that determines the winner of such wars. Obviously, this is simplifying things, as we all know that there are other factors involved in why nations go to war, but at this point and time in history, oil is the tie that binds most if not all of those other factors. I totally disagree with the idea that flex fuel vehicles are the answer, as you will only be trading one combustible for another and will in the end only further entangle peoples daily lives with the true problem which is not oil per say, but energy. You would, regardless of statement to the contrary, cut into world food supplies in a manner that would guarantee war even faster than oil itself ever could. I agree that alternative need to be developed, yet I believe that the answer in the very short term is a better use of current sources until the next technology is perfected. For example, we need better utilize our solar, wind, hydroelectric, natural gas and nuclear power in a manner that drastically cuts our dependence on oil be it foreign or domestic.

What's an instrument that sounds good with a guitar, a violin and a flute?

I've been composing over quite some period of time a piece for Guitar Violin and Flute, but I recently composed something else for 4 cello's and would like to hear how it would sound on 4 different instruments but am not sure what to use for the fourth instrument. It needs to be an instrument that exists in Sibelius 4 or is similar to one that exists in it. I have this lymph node on my right groin muscle. Its down by my lower abdominal muscle. It is not visible at all when I look at it in the mirror. Its not painful at all. It is one centimeter in size. It is extremely mobile. Its been there for 3 or 4 years. Im 15 and I hit a growth spurt back then and I started losing baby fat (I was real chubby) and now Im tall and thin (6' 3" 185 lbs). I started lifting weights and working out back then for my college football career at UCLA. The ONLY weird thing is that I can acctually grasp it. I can take my fingers and grab it and it feels squishy then. When I press on it, it feels harder than when I grasp it. Its sort of the same way on my left side. I have a node in the same exact spot on my left side and it feels somewhat identical to the one on my right. I show no symptoms of lymphoma. Im terrified of doctors and I will not go there so do not say go to a doctor for your answer please! Any other help or advice is much appreciated. Thanks!

Could my nephew have been ually abused?

My nephew is 2 years old. Up until a month ago, he was living with his mother and her live-in boyfriend, who I will just call Tom here. Tom (the boyfriend) was verbally, emotionally, & physically abusive to my sister, which she finally admitted to me very recently. She also admitted that Tom hit my nephew so hard on his legs that it left welts. He would him for no reason. My sister didn't stop her boyfriend from hitting her child. My nephew is now living with me and my mother, but my worry has not dissipated. Although I am his aunt, he calls me "momma" often and his behavior has changed drastically. For instance, he is terrified to be put into bed at night. He does anything to stay out of bed & stay with us. He will scream for hours straight, his voice raw, if we don't get him. He was never like this before. He used to lay down with no problem. Nap time isn’t really a problem. The problem is only at night time- bedtime. He also has grabbed his & and messed with it a few times. I can not say if this is normal boy curiosity, or more? He doesn’t seem to be masturbating, but has called his “a hole”. He knows you put things into holes- like blocks into a toy with appropriately shaped holes. His attitude has worsened. He gets angry easily, has bouts of rage. I know he is 2 and the developmental stage he has reached outlines this defiance & autonomy as normal patterns of behavior, but he was never this volatile in the past. He never slapped in the face, or threw things, or ran away from us, spouting curse words that we had no idea he even knew. I also noted a couple of months ago, when he was still living with his mother & Tom, that after staying with me for the weekend, he was terrified to go back to his mother. He clutched to me & seemed afraid of his mother & Tom. He was clearly terrified, panicked, to go with his own mother. He screamed 'NO!" & curled his fingers into me. My sister had to forcefully take him from my arms. He has nightmares. We've noticed that he suddenly developed awful nightmares where he thrashes wildly in bed screaming, "NO! NO!". It's greatly disturbing to see him gripped by that kind of fear. So, because I don't think there’d be any physical trauma anymore, & my sister & Tom will admit nothing I need to know if my fears are valid. I don't want to put my nephew through something like therapy or a medical examination for nothing, but I fear the day my sister comes to get her son again. Will the abuse start again? I have no legal rights to keep him from her, even though I have filed a report with the local police department & called DHR. They say I can’t do anything, that my hands are tied if I want temporary or full custody. But if I could somehow get some kind of emotional/psychological proof of his abuse then I might be able to ensure his safety after all. What should I do? Should I go with my gut feeling that he IS being abused & seek help? If so, who should I go to with my concerns...?

Im a lab technician and all I can say is that it is the doctors responsibility to order a sensitivity..none of the labs I have worked in automatically do them..as for quinolone..its a broadspectrom antibiotic so unless this is an organism that this person has been fighting for a lond time and used several antibiotics on..its a good choice for a start..usually sensitivities are not needed if it is a "new" infection...they usually start off with a broad spectrom like quinolone and if it doesnt work or until the sensitivities come back its a good choice..quinolone is commony used with urinary tract type of stuff

Look for Fitness videos at your local library (borrow them for free) that target the areas you want to target that way you can follow along with a trainer, and change things up a bit to keep your body guessing, do your version Monday, Wednesday, Friday and do a Cario, weight training, pilates, or yoga dvd or any dvd of your choice. What's wrong with my ear?

I'm sick and my right ear does this crackling sound every time I swallow and my left ear feels like I'm deaf and I have water in it and when I burp I hear a little popping sound but it doesn't feel pleasant. Also when I sneeze it really hurts. Its weird because I can sort of hear my breathing from my left ear and its really annoying.

Am I going to miscarry?

I also spotted with s early in pregnancy. It got me so worried that I quit having s/ completely. I wasn't really scared of miscarriage but I knew I always worried when I spotted. As soon as I quit s/, I stopped spotting. I'm now 14 weeks and back to my normal life with no spotting. I think you would feel better if you just held off for a few weeks, atleast until you get the ultrasound and see the baby. Good luck. Personally, I don't think this sounds like miscarriage.

Preparing for my sisters death after her Gastric byp?

My sister is a 43 year old manipulator who is always used to getting her way even if she has to lie and cheat to do it. She learned that from our mother. My sister is an RN and was only 40 pounds overweight but conned her doctor into signing her off for a gastric byp. She went from 155 to 94 lbs and her mother is so pleased but tells her that she needs to lose just another 10 to get down to a size 2. My sister looks horrible, her skin turned yellowish and her hair is falling out and she has a bald spot on the top of her head. She is weak and looks like she has cancer. The skin on her face has sagged and you can see her bones. However, our mother thinks that my sister looks great. I did everything I could to stop her from getting this unneccessary surgery done but It didnt work. At this rate, I dont expect her to be alive next year at this time. I am preparing myself for her death and feel sorry for her 2 boys. Well at least they wil carry out a thin body for her funeral.

I had a dream that I was meaning to tell everyone?

How to get my dog to rest?

To make sure it gets enough rest, when you are making your dog rest put it in a comfortable cage with blankets. No toys inside or it will think its time to play in there. the enclosure/cage should be big enough to be comfy but not big enough to run around in. Thats what I did with my dog when she was a puppy and wouldn't take her naps like the breeder said she was- it worked! make sure your near though because i doubt your dog would be settled alone. and try and keep it in a quiet spot too... Our neighbors of nine years called the police on us because my sons (8 and 9 yrs old) threw water balloons at their car. All you have to do is buy a decent receiver with your new tv. The soundsystem will hook to the back of the receiver and the new receivers out there have USB jacks, HDMI, and component jacks. HDMI is great not only because it's one cable opposed to three, but they are going to have way better sound and picture anyways. Any new flat screen TV is going to be fine as long as it has a USB port (All new TV's do) with a decent receiver you can run everything to the receiver and then one wire to your TV. Then your surround sound will work with all of your toys. For example I have a Denon 1611 for 399 I can't complain. I have a 47" LCD LG. I run my Xbox 360, directv, wii, and bluray player into the back of the Denon. I also have an iPod docked on an extra audio port. For another 200 dollars it would have had 2 USB ports on it and I believe a card reader for pictures. As for the computer I put a link in the source box. It can be a bit more tricky, but can still be done.

Hey i was just wondering how often should i clean my rabbit's hutch? The hutch is indoors and is made of wood. Currently, i wipe my bunny's cage with warm water once a week and wash it out thoroughly once a month.
