Auto Transmission playing up.?

1st thing to check is the fluid level if it is too low the transmission won't work. However you said you have already lost a gear so it is quite probable you have already done serious damage to your transmission. best thing to do is take it to the shop and get it fixed and prepare for some serious sticker shock.
