Country song by bits of lyrics. Can you name it?

Okay! So, I'm not a huge country fan (I heard the song in my friends car, and he didn't know the name or who it was either). It's a breakup song, where the man is driving all over the place (in the rain) looking for a girl that left him, and one of the lyrics (albeit not verbatim) is about how he wouldn't have been in the situation now if he had been this attentive to the relationship to begin with. I know it's not much to go on, but any help is much obliged!
