Help with simplifying my entertainment center?
All you have to do is buy a decent receiver with your new tv. The soundsystem will hook to the back of the receiver and the new receivers out there have USB jacks, HDMI, and component jacks. HDMI is great not only because it's one cable opposed to three, but they are going to have way better sound and picture anyways. Any new flat screen TV is going to be fine as long as it has a USB port (All new TV's do) with a decent receiver you can run everything to the receiver and then one wire to your TV. Then your surround sound will work with all of your toys. For example I have a Denon 1611 for 399 I can't complain. I have a 47" LCD LG. I run my Xbox 360, directv, wii, and bluray player into the back of the Denon. I also have an iPod docked on an extra audio port. For another 200 dollars it would have had 2 USB ports on it and I believe a card reader for pictures. As for the computer I put a link in the source box. It can be a bit more tricky, but can still be done.
