When will she know what I mean!?!? (Girls/Guys?)?

Now this girl and I were mild aquaintances in hs last year, i a junior she a senior, a year earlier she suffered a devastating car accident in which she was in the hospital for a while, but she came back to play varsity golf and bball, but her bf dumped her, everyone says she changed, she was quiet all the time, but she always smiled at me (while any other time showing no emotion) i could get her to laugh, and she never did! i work at a luxury grocery store so i always saw her around during the summer buying exercise or health stuff, she would always light up when she saw me and we would talk small talk and it would be so great, but then she would leave, i never asked her out during the summer.. :( anyway she went to college, but was back last week for homecoming, she looked great, and we were able to talk in a comfortable and friendly way, and when she left i made sure to say how glad i was to see her around again...because i was...whenever she came inot the store she was alone.....
