My dad keeps turning the internet off everytime he goes away ( which is alot) so I can't get on with homework?

My dad goes away all the time to Sheffield, Devon and Greece, and every time he goes out. He turns the internet off. I have a lot of schoolwork to get on with and I cannot connect and it is seriously pissing me off. He somehow makes it so his computer can connect but mine can't. I would do it on his computer but I can't because my brother won't come off it but I've tried getting it back from his computer and I can't I;ve tried evrything. The linkseys box and the connections and everything. I think it's to do with the broadband. It says the broadband connection is disconnected and when I try and connect it I type in the pword (which is right I know for sure) and it says cant connect redialing in 5,4,3,2,1 can anyone help me'?
