Atheists, what's the best way to sear my conscience?

I love how this is supposed to be an insult to Atheists, but in reality it makes me laugh. Apparently if I believe there is no God I am a psychopath, but if I pray to something that does not respond then I am Christian. I believe that is really insanity.
