How to get my dog to rest?

To make sure it gets enough rest, when you are making your dog rest put it in a comfortable cage with blankets. No toys inside or it will think its time to play in there. the enclosure/cage should be big enough to be comfy but not big enough to run around in. Thats what I did with my dog when she was a puppy and wouldn't take her naps like the breeder said she was- it worked! make sure your near though because i doubt your dog would be settled alone. and try and keep it in a quiet spot too... Im just saying what worked for my dog. hope it works for you too.
