Nba 2k10 vs Nba 2k11?

I am a basketball freak. I have owned a lot of the 2k/live series. I stop playing live after 07, but 2k is getting on my nerves too. The online drops too much when your playing people ranked or league. My internet is fast and my signal is always at 100% and I still get the L when I am up. I really want to get 2k10 but feel its no point when EVERYONE is going to another team next year. Should I go ahead and get 2k10 when I am already getting 2k11 when it drops? If so why and how is the online game play. Also, what is Madden 10 online game play like (fran. mode)?
