Can these two ingredients be mixed together to create a decent soup base?

I am trying to follow a recipe for Cream of Potato soup, however... I only have one can of chicken broth and one can of cream of chicken. Do you think it would be alright if I just mixed them together, instead of using just one or the other? Any advice from experienced cooks and even non experienced would be great...
