What to do in preparation for a makeup consultation?

I'm going to Sephora today for a makeup consultation, but I'm wondering what I should expect? Funnily enough, my main concern is whether or not I should wear my own makeup before I go in? I suppose it makes sense to not, but I really hate leaving my home without anything on... especially to be walking around a mall like that to get to Sephora!
