Psalms 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and children of the most High?

The last scripture you reference says it all... To become perfect... If you are perfect wouldn't you be like unto God? And why is it people can't grasp the fact that we are Father in Heaven's children... that, like any Father, He would want us to obtain what He has.... I don't think people have the concept of eternal life. As if all is done once we leave this earth. Why is it that here on earth we only use 8 - 10% of our brain capacity... why did God create so much more in us... why do people have such a hard time believing that God wants us to progress, to be the best, and to be like him.... isn't that why we were created in His image? I wouldn't be all that great of a father if I told my children they could never acheive what I have acheived... that they could never know the true joy that I know... that they could never create or progress beyond a certain point.... does this sound like a truely loving father?
